my new baby eliana! i love her so so much!!!! we will call her ellie for short. what i dont love is her getting me up during the night every 2 hours. last night i took her out at 1, 3,5,7 and 8. its great.... 

live and learn

Traveling not only opens your eyes, but your heart too.         

Honduras changed my life forever. I cant wait to go back.. God showed me so much in that week. Spain also did to but in a completely different way.

 

True love never dies.

Hard times show just how much you care about that person to work through your problems. It helps you grow closer to that person, and see their heart.

 

True love doesn’t let any one interfere. Its resilient.

Sadly I have come not to respect people older then me as much as I used to. I know there is so much I can learn from them but they also need to remember what its like to be 18.. advice is great when asked for but not when its shoved down your throat.

 

Every day is a gift from God, and shouldn’t be taken lightly.

You never know whats going to happen day to day. Im learning this a lot since Dakota wont be here much longer. Don’t ever take any thing for granted.

 

Don’t take for granted good friends.

Showing weakness doesn’t make you weak; it means you’re strong enough to admit when you need help.

Im still working on this but im learning. Some things just don’t happen as soon as you want them too.

 

Some times… you just cant have a plan.

Ouch… this one hurt. I plan everything down to the exact minuet things happen… and I have learned. That doesn’t always work… Newsflash: YOUR NOT IN CHARGE. Some one once told me

Some times all we need is for some one who cares about us to hug us and say it will be okay…

Some one once told me it doesn’t take a genius to get through college you just got to figure out how to get through it.

 

Politics

No matter how strongly you feel, all you can do is vote, and when you don’t win don’t hang your head in defeat. No matter who is in office they deserve respect.

 

Laugh at ignorance

There is not sense in fighting it.

 

 

Im still 18, and completely lost in what to do with my life, but that’s okay. I have no idea where I will be next year at this time, but that’s okay… Im going to do things that some people don’t approve of.. but that’s okay…

I learn from my mistakes and I enjoy learning. Im just figuring out who I am and what I want out of life. That’s the beauty of life, screwing up, and learning from it. You take it with a grain of salt and move forward. Don’t look back. You live, you learn, your become a better person with each step you take.

so dakota turned 18!!!!! yay he is offically all grow'd up!! yesterday we went and took his senior pics. A girl named jackie cooper did them and she was awsome!!! here is her blog if you guys would like to look at some of her stuff.

 the werid thing is, is that i think she has some kind of connection to the church my family goes to b.c she has pics our pastor on the website.. 

taking the pictures sucked though.. i was so sick.. i had a fever all day. but oh well! i think im starting to feel better 

we went to scotch yesterday for dinner, it was sooooooo goood! 

i had never been there before. we also got to see dakota's aunt! she's so sweet! tonight he is having a family thing that im going to at 5:30... 

well i just wanted to say happy bday kota!!!!

THank God Tomorrow is Tuesday!

Hey Everyone!!!! 

Tomorrow is election day!!! I'm so excited to go stand in line. Seriously!! I have never been able to vote before and i must say it is quite exciting! Its pretty much the only privilege i gained by turning 18. besides a later curfew b.c i dont smoke.. and well thats pretty much all u can do at 18. I'm pray tomorrow goes well! God has a plan though! 

I have decided on the tattoo im getting. its going to be Jeremiah 29:11!

"For i know the plans i have for you says the lord plans to prosper you and not to harm you plans to give you a hope and a future." 

Im getting it translated into Hebrew though.. and not the whole thing b.c they would be writting like a novel on my back.. but you get the point! :)

Dakota took is asfab test. Things are starting to move forward. He is now having to choose a career. Then he will be signing in Kansas then off to Basic! Keep him in your prayers! 

SChool is going well. Im getting ready to enroll for next semester already! It went by so quick!!

WEll. I better go back to homework!!!

Ignorance is Bliss

I have heard the statement over and over before that "Ignorance is Bliss". In referring to the American economy at this time, I am starting to believe this just might be true. Day to day I watch the main stream media bash the republicans and point fingers at them for the economic crisis. To me, all i hear is finger pointing and no one taking responsibility. Maybe I am a nieve eighteen year old, but I'm still wondering why everyone is pointing fingers instead of working together to reach a solution to help the american people as a whole instead of being concerned about ones party. 

I saw a T-shirt today that I laughed at. It said "Everything I needed to know, I learned in Kindergarden" 

Isn't this the truth. 

I was thinking about this today, and the Greedy CEO's that started this economic crisis. Its kinda like in kindergarden... When everyone goes on the field trip, one little brat messes around and everyone is punished... I have never understood that concept. I always though "But, I didn't do anything wrong. I was behaving, and doing what I was supposed to. So, Why am I in trouble?"hmmm... 

So i came to the conclusion Politics are CHILDISH!

America is suffering as a whole, because of the little Brat who screwed it up for everyone. Now, is that fair... no. It was not fair in Kindergarden and its not fair now. Why are we paying to "Bail" them out for their mistakes... 

So that brings me to the childish mentality of America today. I see it everyday in parenting. When a child gets in trouble who bails them out... the parents. Mommy runs to the rescue to save the child from harm. Not all parenting is like this but some is. It does not matter what that child does the parents will lie to cover up for the child..this leaves the child with learned helplessness. They learn that what ever they do, they will not be held accountable for it. Some one else will come bail them out, leaving no consequences for their actions.

The CEO's are not being held responsible for their actions. All they are learning, is that no matter what they do, some one will come bail them out... pathetic. 

Yes, we had to do something in this crisis to help the economy but it angers me to see what a few greedy people can do to an entire nation... but hey, what do i know... 

well, on a lighter note... I passed my Psych exam on Monday! I have 2 exams tomorrow though.. ah i am nervous!!! Well.. i better go study!!!

Hey Guys!!!!

So i decided to finally start one of these things to see if i'll like it of not. I have not done anything like this since Xanga! I do not know how much i will be able to update this b/c im super busy w/ school and work. School is taking up so much of my time right now. Im always working on homework. I just finished my first college paper though, and now im working on 2 more... Right now my classes are

• Human Sexuality
  
• Math
  
• Art Appreciation 
  

I'm not really sure what im majoring in yet though. Some thing like psychology, or social work, or counseling or law.. or maybe none of the above. who no's lol. 

I'm excited to get this started and hopefully i'll be able to keep up with it!!!!
